Nuvu, Nissan's latest take on EV cars is just a little more than 118-in. long overall with a 77-in. wheelbase, yet its 66-in. height and 61-in. width give a surprisingly roomy cabin, which features unique 2+1 seating that includes two standard seats and an occasional chair that can be folded away. And unlike other two-seat runabouts the Nuvu reportedly holds an impressive amount of cargo -- Nissan says the car was designed to provide "sufficient space for a typical supermarket or shopping expedition."

And while Nissan has previously confirmed that it will unveil an EV at the Tokyo Motor Show that will enter production in 2010, the automaker stresses that the Nuvu is not that vehicle. Given its whimsical design featuring elements such as a dozen small solar panels on the all-glass roof shaped like leaves feeding a "tree trunk" battery, the concept is unlikely to see production. Nissan has yet to release any photos of the Nuvu.
