
GM's recent unveiling of the 2011 Chevy Volt has generated tons of press coverage and more than a little excitement, even prompting Chrysler to counter by showing off some future EVs and plug-in hybrids of its own. However with all the love (and criticism) going around for the General's new eco-savior, there has been one organization threatening to rain on its parade -- the EPA. A debate over how to test the Volt's fuel-economy threatened to give the car a significantly lower mpg rating than expected, but now it appears GM and the federal agency have finally reached a deal.
